The Chicago Bears are expected to have running back Matt Forte and defensive end Julius Peppers for today’s contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but it’s not clear if wide receiver Earl Bennett will be able to play.

Though Forte was limited at practice Friday and Peppers didn’t participate at all, each entered the weekend as probable to play against the Jaguars.
Forte totaled only 13 carries for 52 yards against the Dallas Cowboys last week. Over three games this season the 26-year-old has 163 yards and one touchdown on 36 carries.
Bennett missed the Cowboys’ game due to a hand injury, but he’s hoping to return today. He made progress through the week and told Mark Potash of the Chicago Sun-Times Friday that he felt in his gut that he’d be able to suit up.

Jay Cutler: A Rex Grossman with an ego

Chicago Bears Jay Cutler has been hard to pinpoint what is wrong with him or define what type of quarterback he is. Cutler is inconsistent and quite frankly plays poorly in the worst situations. Cutler had one 4,000 yard season and everyone just believes the Bears are one year away from getting to that milestone. One more year and Cutler will finally be ‘Elite’ as everyone say...

Matt Forte Takes Care of Business vs. Jaguars

Bears running back Matt Forte rushed for 107 yards on 22 carries, while Michael Bush only had four carries Sunday against the Jaguars.Fantasy Spin:Fantasy owners can start Forte with confidence going forward ... except next week when the Bears have a bye.

Chicago Bears Fan Gets His Throat Slashed in Jacksonville Bar

The Associated Press is reporting that Chicago Bears fan William Christopher Pettry from Lake Villa, IL was killed over the weekend at Fionn MacCool’s, an Irish-themed restaurant at The Jacksonville Landing. Pettry’s cousin, Quincy Asbury Jr., told The Chicago Tribune that Pettry flew to Florida on Friday to go to the Bears-Jaguars game. A

Film Room Breakdown: The Tillman Pick-6

With a little extra time with the bye week, I was going to study several different spots in the Chicago game with the coach's film and discuss the finer points of the Xs and Os scenarios before we move on to the Baltimore Ravens. I am guessing that the team is taking quite the opposite approach since they obviously need to focus on only what they can control - looking forward...

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffrey out 4-6 weeks

Bears' defense keeps racking up points

How's this for an oddity? Charles Tillman and Lance Briggs have more touchdown catches than Calvin Johnson and as many as Larry Fitzgerald and Reggie Wayne. Well, sort of. Tillman and Briggs actually have two interception returns for touchdowns, and the Chicago Bears' defense has been racking up points of late at a rate that would make any high-powered offense envious...

Blaine Gabbert, Jaguars crushed by Bears

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- The Chicago Bears are turning their defense into a scoring offense. Charles Tillman and Lance Briggs returned interceptions for touchdowns -- their second in six days -- and the Bears used stifling defense to overwhelm the Jacksonville Jaguars 41-3 Sunday. The Bears (4-1) scored 38 unanswered points, including 35 in the second half, to win their third...

Bears look to avoid letdown against Jaguars

Fresh from a convincing win in Dallas on Monday night, the Chicago Bears try to guard against complacency when they travel to Jacksonville Sunday to face the struggling Jaguars (1-3).  With a victory, the Bears (3-1) can head into their bye week with confidence and no worse than a first place tie in the NFC North with Minnesota. The Bears [...]

Chicago Bears Maul Jacksonville Jaguars, 41-3

Although it was a tale of two halves in Jacksonville Sunday afternoon the Chicago Bears ultimately mauled the Jaguars, 41-3. Both team's first half offensive performances left a lot to be desired as they went into the locker room knotted at 3-3. However, prompted by normally soft spoken coach Lovie Smith's half time rant the Bears came out rejuvenated in the second half...
