Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is dealing with more than a neck injury as he’s also suffering from a sprained MCL in his knee, reports Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com. The Bears list Cutler on the injury report with neck and knee injuries. He's expected to fully participate in Friday's practice and start in Sunday’s big game against the Green Bay Packers. Cutler was knocked out of last weekend’s contest against the Minnesota Vikings after a hit above the neck. He was ultimately sidelined as a result of the illegal shot, and onlookers feared the quarterback had sustained another concussion. However, following the game the Bears announced that Cutler was dealing with a neck injury. The team didn’t say anything about the quarterback’s knee injury until yesterday. Even with the knee injury, coach Lovie Smith isn’t concerned about Cutler’s mobility, according to Rosenthal. Cutler is expected to fully participate in practice today and start Sunday’s pivotal matchup against the Packers. Griffen, Allen see shrinking targets for QBs

It’s Deja Vu All Over Again for the Chicago Bears

Injuries have played a role in the Bears recent struggles. But this version of the Bears yearly collapse has many other factors. One way or another, the Bears always seem to find a way to fall short of their potential. Whether it be injuries, play calling, personnel, or Father Time, every aspect seems to make a yearly appearance at one point or another and derail the season. This...
