Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is dealing with more
than a neck injury as he’s also suffering from a sprained MCL in his knee,
reports Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com.
The Bears list Cutler on the injury report with neck
and knee injuries. He's expected to fully participate in Friday's practice and
start in Sunday’s big game against the Green Bay Packers.
Cutler was knocked out of last weekend’s contest against the
Minnesota Vikings after a hit above the neck. He was ultimately sidelined as a
result of the illegal shot, and onlookers feared the quarterback had sustained
However, following the game the Bears announced that Cutler
was dealing with a neck injury. The team didn’t say anything about the
quarterback’s knee injury until yesterday.
Even with the knee injury, coach Lovie Smith isn’t concerned
about Cutler’s mobility, according to Rosenthal. Cutler is expected to fully
participate in practice today and start Sunday’s pivotal matchup against the Packers.
