Teams need their best players right now if they expect to make a run for the playoffs and be hitting strong when the time comes. For the Chicago Bears, an injury to star linebacker Brian Urlacher could set them back a few weeks, maybe into the playoffs. Urlacher suffered a hamstring injury that could leave him sidelined for the remainder of the Regular Season. He told Fox Chicago via Yahoo Sports that Doctors said he could miss ”two to four weeks, three, could be four.”. The Chicago Tribune reported that the injury was a Grade-2 hamstring injury, and it was suffered in the second-to-last play in an overtime loss to Seattle. Bears LB Brian Urlacher may miss the rest of the Regular Season (Dennis Wierzbicki/US Presswire) The Bears have lost three of their last four games, and will need to capitalize on the remaining quarter of the schedule to make the playoffs. They lost the division lead which they held all season when falling to the Seahawks Sunday. If the Bears do not make the playoffs, Urlacher might have played his last snap as a Chicago Bear, as his contract expires at seasons end. ”I do not think that’s going to happen,’‘ he told Fox. ”But, if it does, I have had a really good and long career so I would be sad, but I would not be crushed.” The Urlacher role is expected to be filled by Nick Roach for the time being. Hopefully Brian can recover well from this, and suit up in the playoffs for his long-time team. The post Bears LB Brian Urlacher could miss rest of Regular Season appeared first on DOWN & DISTANCE.
