The Chicago Bears offense stepped up in a huge way this season. Starting quarterback Jay Cutler threw for over 2,000 passing yards and 12 touchdowns, back up quarterback Josh McCown threw for over 1,800 passing yards and 13 touchdowns. For the first time in franchise history, the Chicago Bears had two wide receivers with over 1,000 receiving yards in the same year. Before that, it was just Brandon Marshall who was able to record a 1,000 yard year since Marty Booker. This team will be looking to continue airing it out and hopefully get everybody else involved. Running back Matt Forte has always been a huge part of Chicago’s passing game and Earl Bennett has always delivered when the ball’s thrown in his direction. With Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery having the number one and two slots on the depth chart locked up, that leaves Earl Bennett and Marquess Wilson competing for their number three. This team has high hopes for Wilson and know what he’s capable of. He wasn’t able to...

ESPN analyst Mel Kiper believes Bears should draft defensive linemen early and often

The Chicago Bears run defense in 2013 was a turn style that teams enjoyed going through with great frequency. Even mediocre running teams had big games against the unit, and was the main reason despite an explosive offense, missing the playoffs late in the season. ESPN's draft guru Mel Kiper says that the Bears should be looking at defensive linemen early and often as it...

Chicago Bears could draft Timmy Jernigan

Remember when the Chicago Bears were loaded with impressive defensive tackles? Seems like quite some time ago (likely because it is), but that could change in the near future assuming Chicago opts to use their first round draft pick on Timmy Jernigan. Chicago Bears 2014 Off-Season Preview

2013 Recap Die hard Bears fans probably didn’t recognize the team at all last season. Their offense was as good as it’s been in years, a big change for a franchise that is not usually good offensively. However, their defense was as bad as it’s been in years and potentially one of the worst defenses in franchise history, considering how good their defense has almost always been...

There was a lot of criticism for both of the Chicago Bears safeties Chris Conte and Major Wright.  Much of the nation blamed most of the defensive problems on the Chicago Bear’s secondary, but I think that they are mistaken. With a lot of the starting defensive players going out due to injury, the Chicago Bears were forced to start rookies and second string players. This also...
