Free agent quarterback JaMarcus Russell will get his first chance at NFL redemption on Friday when he visits the Chicago Bears for a workout that will include three other quarterbacks, ESPN Chicago reports. It was reported last week that the former Oakland Raiders No. 1 overall pick and 2007 NFL Draft bust—who ran the 40-yard dash in 5.2 seconds three months ago—has been garnering “significant interest” from “more than one team” around the league after shedding “50 pounds” since starting his latest NFL comeback. Photo Via EliteDaily.com Chicago seems to like what it already has at the position with Jay Cutler, Josh McCown and Matt Blanchard, and the report indicates that even if Russell has a strong performance in the workout, a signing wouldn’t necessarily be imminent. Nevertheless, while the odds appear to be stacked against him of making a team’s training camp roster, let alone 53-man roster, Russell could have a shot with an outside-the-box thinker like Bears coach Marc Trestm
