NFL Injury Report:
Bears GM Phil Emery has been busy since Chicago's season ended Sunday evening. He fired Lovie Smith Monday morning and has already interviewed or received permission to interview seven head coaching candidates.
Emery most recently received permission to interview Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians, according to Dan Pompei and Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune.
Arians not only help develop Andrew Luck this season, but stepped in when Colts head coach Chuck Pagano was diagnosed with leukemia. The Colts had a 9-3 record with Arians as the head coach.
Arians is an attractive name for Chicago because the Bears struggled offensively in 2012. Quarterback Jay Cutler would benefit from an offensive minded head coach and a new system to use running back Matt Forte and wide receiver Brandon Marshall to the best of their abilities.
