The Matt Forte and Chicago Bears drama has moved to the next act.
Forte took a one-year deal last season, knowing an injury could seriously hurt his pay in the offseason. When it happened, the Bears would have been foolish not to franchise him—he was perfect for his role in that offense, but they did not know if he would be the same back.
GOTTA BE THE SHOES
Chicago Bears’ wide receiver/punt return specialist, Devin Hester, recently released photos from his twitter account of his Jordan shoe collection and it is one of the craziest collections I have ever seen. Hester wears No. 23 on the field and it seems that his love affair with the Jordan brand doesn’t stop on the field, dude rocks J’s and a lot of them. Sneakerheads around...
The Chicago Bears and RB Matt Forte seem to be at an impasse in regards to a long-term contract. According to dozens of reports in the media, he has an offer on the table from the Chicago Bears, but will he decide to sign it? If Forte declines to sign his tender, would the Chicago Bears trade RB Matt Forte?
Forte seemed to have the upper hand with the Bears heading into...
The Bears added another receiver to the mix today with the signing of Devin Thomas.
Thomas joins Brandon Marshall and Eric Weems as the third receiver the Bears have brought in this off-season.
Earl Bennett, Devin Hester, Dane Sanzenbacher and Johnny Knox are the other receivers that the Bears have under contract for the upcoming 2012-13 season.
I only place Johnny Knox last on that...

Hester ranked first in the NFL last season in punt return average (16.2 yards).
Weems ranked 21st in the league with a kick return average of 23.5 YPR, and ninth in the league with a punt return average of 9.8 YPR.
With Johnny Knox being a big question mark to return 100 percent healthy...
My morning routine consists of waking up, going to my calendar and counting down the days until Jay Cutler returns to kick some Green Bay Packer ass, ironing my Cutler jersey, turning on ESPN, and, before I leave, giving thanks to a shrine of Mike Ditka.
When I was watching ESPN First Take this morning all I heard was Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless yelling at each other over how...
For pro athletes, building up an impressive wardrobe is often part of the game. Some players have an affinity for designer suits, others prefer jewelry and for many, their weakness lies with footwear. The sneaker collections of sports stars include the most anticipated releases, hard to find shoes and personalized kicks, with details specific to players and their sport.
The Chicago Bears and receiver Devin Thomas have agreed to a one-year contract.
Thomas has 43 receptions for 482 yards in four seasons with Washington, Carolina and the New York Giants. He was mainly a special-teams contributor for the Giants last season and recovered two fumbles in the NFC title game against San Francisco, including one that set up the winning field goal in overtime...

The Chicago Bears agreed to terms on a one-year contract with wide receiver Devin Thomas.
Thomas, 25, spent last season with the New York Giants, playing primarily on special teams. He had only three receptions for 37 yards.
A second-round draft choice by the Washington Redskins in 2008, Thomas had his best season in 2009-10 with 25 receptions and three touchdowns.
Looking to provide Quarterback Jay Cutler with another target, the Chicago Bears inked former New York Giants wide receiver Devin Thomas to a one-year deal. To be fair, Thomas is merely a complimentary piece, as he contributed mostly on special teams this past season in the Giants Super Bowl run. In fact, the 6-2, 221-pound Thomas came up big in the post-season [...]
