Bears tight end Matt Spaeth confirmed Thursday he is scheduled to undergo arthroscopic knee surgery Friday.
It is unclear which knee Spaeth will have scoped, but players typically undergo clean-up procedures during the offseason. Spaeth said it was "no big deal'' and that he would "be good to go in no time'' in preparation for the 2013 season.
Spaeth played all 16 games this season, starting eight. He only appeared on the injury report during Week 9 with an ankle injury but played in that week's game against the Titans.
