Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher craned his neck to get a better look at the play. A spectator at Penn State's Blue-White spring game, he was impressed by his trip Saturday to State College. Urlacher was invited to Penn State by head athletic football trainer Tim Bream, who used to work for the Bears. About 60,000 fans took in the glorified scrimmage. A New Mexico graduate, Urlacher joked the only time the Lobos drew such a crowd was when they played BYU. Urlacher was a draw himself on the sideline with visitors asking for pictures. He's also impressed with new Penn State coach Bill O'Brien, the former New England Patriots offensive coordinator. ''I know a good football coach when I see one,'' Urlacher said. ''And that man knows how to win.''

Chicago Bears: Draft Day Playbook

After years of cheap behavior and uninspired free agent patch work -- yeah, like Roy Williams was really going to be the answer -- the Chicago Bears have finally found their coin-purse (double-meaning very much intended) and decided to spend some money this off-season.    In large part due to the welcomed departure of Bears’ GM and renowned miser, Jerry Angelo, the Windy City...

Prospecting for Gold: Jared Crick, DE/DT

Chicago Bears fans love their lunch pail guys. I say that and you should immediately know the type; hard-nosed, tough guys, don't get national recognition, guys who play for years, lock down their position but maybe never get Pro-Bowl status. Guys like Big Cat Williams, Hunter Hillenmeyer, Izzy Idonije, Tom Waddle. Well Jared Crick is that type of guy; not explosive or a freak...

No underdog label for the 2012 Chicago Bears

No team uses the underdog/no respect stigma as a motivator better than the Chicago Bears under Lovie Smith. He's been brilliant in fostering an "us against the world" mentality. Sometimes it's manufactured and sometimes it's warranted, but this year it'll be hard to rally the troops around that particular battle cry. Even after the Bears went to the NFC...
