CJ Sports NFL Talk:
Bears WR Earl Bennett Fined $10,500 For Orange Shoes -
Chicago Bears WR Earl Bennett was fined $10,500 by the NFL for wearing orange shoes, which is a violation of the league’s uniform policy, on Monday night. Bennett, who was fined twice last year ($5,000 and $10,000 each) for wearing orange shoes, confirmed the fine to ESPNChicago.com today. Bears WR Brandon Marshall also wore orange shoes and also will presumably be fined. Bennett said it was Marshall who put him up to wearing the orange shoes on Monday.
“I wasn’t sure if I was going to wear them,” Bennett said. “Then Brandon Marshall was like, ‘let’s wear them.’ So I just put them on. I probably wouldn’t have worn them if he wouldn’t have agreed to it.” (Photo: AP/Charles Rex Arbogast)

Earl Bennett, wide receiver for the Chicago Bears wore orange cleats against the Detroit Lions on Monday night. He told ESPNChicago that the league fined him $10,500 on Thursday for breaking the leagues uniform policy.
This is not a strange occurrence for Bennett. Twice last season he wore bright orange shoes and the league fined him a total of $15,000 for it. Bennett was coerced into [...]
For the second time in three weeks, Chicago Bears cornerback Charles Tillman has been named NFL Defensive Player of the Week.
As Week 7 in the NFL season came to an end last evening, the Chicago Bears picked up their fifth victory of the young season and sit atop the NFC North with a 5-1 record. It was a hard-fought battle against the division rival Detroit Lions. It was a perfect autumn evening for football, and the Bears did not disappoint the home crowd at Soldier Field in Chicago. The Bears have had...
For the second time in three weeks, Bears CB Charles Tillman was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week after recording nine tackles, two forced fumbles and two pass break ups in Chicago’s 13-7 victory over the Detroit Lions. Tillman helped hold Lions WR Calvin Johnson to 34 yards on three receptions and broke up a pass in the end [...]
In this week's episode I blast away at Jay Cutler not living up to expectations and the need for him to lead the Bears to a Super Bowl this year. We also talk about the elite play of Charles Tillman, has Major Wright earned a Pro Bowl spot this early in the season? Also Chris Sprow of ESPN Insider comes on to talk Bears Panthers and much much more.
With Halloween just around the corner, Chicago's aptly nicknamed Monsters of the Midway lived up to their menacing moniker by absolutely dominating the Detroit Lions at Soldier Field on Monday Night Football. The 13-7 final score was not actually indicative of the brutal beating that the vaunted Bears' defense bestowed upon the lackluster Lions' offense. In fact, the...
Carolina Panthers (1-5) at Chicago Bears (5-1) I normally hate laying more than a touchdown, but I like the Bears this week for several reasons. The first reason is simply that I think they’re the best team in the league in this wide open NFL (the undefeated Falcons have played a cupcake schedule and won [...]
The records indicate otherwise, but when the 5-1 Chicago Bears host the 1-5 Carolina Panthers at Soldier Field Sunday afternoon, the division leading Bears can’t afford a misstep against the NFC South cellar-dwellers. Coming off a masterful defensive performance in their 13-7 win over Detroit Monday night, the question might be how focused and motivated the Bears will be on [...]
Monday night, the Bears improved their record to 5-1 with a 13-7 victory over the Detroit Lions. Once again their defense put on a performance and slowed down the Lions' explosive offense.
This Sunday at Soldier Field, the Bears will take on the struggling Carolina Panthers who sit with a record of 1-5, losers of four straight.
The Bears defeated the Panthers last October...
