Jerod Mayo is expected to miss as much as six weeks. New England Patriots head coach addressed the Jerod Mayo situation today (sort of), covering the injury in his usual evasive manner. He did talk about the players expected to pick up the slack for the New England linebackers corps, Gary Guyton and Dane Fletcher. "We had our moments." Hoodie said today, when asked about the LB rotation in the second half against Oakland. "There were some good things [and] there were some other things we need to do a better job of. Gary [Guyton] basically replaced Jerod in our regular defense and then we had some other guys in sub defenses. So we had some different packages in there, it wasn't a Ferris wheel of guys. There was actually a plan there, believe it or not."Belichick was asked if Guyton would be the one to fill Mayo's shoes while Mayo is out. "Well, we'll see what the game plan is going forward here. But certainly Gary has had a big role in our defense...
