During today’s press conference, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick wouldn’t give a timetable for tight end Rob Gronkowski’s return, according to the Boston Herald. “I can’t predict what’s going to happen with rehabilitations or injuries. Any sort of players who are day to day, as we know, sometimes that’s a steady line. Sometimes it’s slow progress and then a big jump. Sometimes there’s a jump, and then it levels off. Can’t predict exactly what’s going to happen. Just take everybody day by day, see how they do and treat them the next day based on their performance and how they feel from the day before. That will be the same with everybody. There is nobody in any different category than that. They’re all the same.” This shouldn’t be a surprise.  I’m sure the Pats have an idea, but they likely don’t want to be held to that date because lets face it with Gronk’s injury history you just never know what will happen.   Need NFL Tickets? Bill Belichick Press Conference Live: Patriots Coach Addresses Media for First Time Since Aaron Hernandez Arrest

11 a.m. ET: Bill Belichick usually just wants to talk about the players who are on the Patriots’ roster. That may change Wednesday. Belichick has taken the unusual step of calling a news conference before camp begins for the Patriots. While he usually talks — “talks” being used loosely here — to the media on the opening Friday of camp, he will have words (presumably) today...

Bill Belichick offers little on Hernandez in press conference

There were many folks around the NFL and football circles in general that wondered what Bill Belichick would say about Aaron Hernandez in today’s press conference. Bill Belichick on Aaron Hernandez: ‘terrible experience’ and time to ‘move forward’

Nobody knew what to expect from Bill Belichick, as he faced the media for the first time since Aaron Hernandez was arrested and charged with the murder of Odin Lloyd. Speculation ranged from Belichick revealing more of himself than ever before, to him being a close-lipped as ever. Instead, we saw something in between, as Belichik issued a statement, and showing what appeared to be...

Belichick declines to say if Tim Tebow will play QB only

When Patriots coach Bill Belichick addressed the media for the first time at training camp on Thursday it was all Aaron Hernandez all the time and not a single question about Tim Tebow was asked. Tom Brady, Patriots Defensive Captains Take Lead From Bill Belichick in Addressing Aaron Hernandez Situation

FOXBORO, Mass. — The Patriots understand they play a game for a living. That’s probably why they stressed the distraction they have faced this offseason is a real-life situation. As the Aaron Hernandez situation was reaching its most surreal point, many feared the New England Patriots would not be able to move past the distractions the legal proceedings would cause.
