To say that Tom Brady is having a down year would be an egregious understatement, statistically its on pace to have one of his worst seasons ever. However the Patriots are still 6-2 and according to Ben Roethlisberger it is a testament to Brady’s talent. “To me, he’s the best quarterback in the league and he’s done it for a long time,” Roethlisberger said Tuesday on KDKA-FM in Pittsburgh. “That’s no disrespect to some of these other guys that are doing some amazing things in the NFL right now. But to me, it’s about wins and championships — and he’s got more championships than anybody… “For the first how many weeks of the season he was playing with receivers that nobody had ever really heard of, so you’ve got to give him credit for getting his team to 6-2,” Roethlisberger said. “He’s got great vision, he’s got big arm strength, a great understanding of offense and defense.” Statistically Tom Brady is one of the best ever. His numbers may not look great right now but you have to give him credit for getting his team where they are with the supporting cast that he has.   Need NFL Tickets? Loading... Tom Brady Dresses Up as Cowardly Lion to Giselle's Dorothy for Halloween Party

Tom Brady is fearless on the field and since Halloween is as good a time as any to don a new persona, Brady went as the Cowardly Lion for a Monday night Halloween party. Of course, Giselle was Dorothy to complete the couple outfits. Per the yardbarker network: So, uh, there you go. For a Halloween party in Boston on Monday night — hopefully with at least a...

Pittsburgh Steelers: Top 4 reasons they lost to Oakland

The Pittsburgh Steelers couldn’t keep the win streak alive but they could keep the streak of not winning a game in Oakland since 1995 in tact. The Steelers dropped to 2-5 on the year after they were defeated by the Oakland Raiders 21-18. Playing in the “black hole” proved to be too difficult of a task for this Steelers’ team. Although the list of why the Steelers lost could...

Tom Brady admits to egging and TPing houses on Halloween - when he was younger

During a team press conference Wednesday, New England Patriots superstar quarterback Tom Brady admitted to egging and toilet papering houses on Halloween in his younger years. When asked if he had ever egged a house, Brady confessed "Yes. We egged, we TP'd houses." Of course, that was many years ago, before the Internet. We're pretty sure there is no...

Will the Pittsburgh Steelers pull off a huge upset over the Patriots?

This week in an interview Big Ben Roethlisberger said that Tom Brady was the best quarterback in the NFL, but was he just setting the table to destruct the Patriots? “To me, he’s the best quarterback in the league and he’s done it for a long time. That’s no disrespect to some of these other […]

Gisele Bündchen Did Her Own Version Of The Body Issue

Surely you’re familiar with ESPN’s Body Issue, this year featuring golfer Gary Player. It seems like Gisele Bündchen and Vogue Paris are aware of it too, as Tom Brady’s wife and the magazine teamed up to take some body issue like photos. That is some kind of weird pose, maybe a French sport we haven’t heard of? Anyhoo, we’re not complaining, and there’s more from Bündchen...

Ben Roethlisberger: "Every game for us right now is a must win"

Not surprisingly, it has come to this. Ben Roethlisberger says Sunday is a "must win" vs. the Patriots. — Ed Bouchette (@EdBouchette) October 30, 2013 That phrase is always somewhat dubious. At 2-5 with every other upcoming match-up against division leaders, aside from the Ravens - Pats, Lions, Ravens, Bengals - we have a rough road...

Review of Week 8: Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots

By Pats Insider, Kyle Samuelson I’ll be honest, I gave up on the game pretty early on. I’ve gotten so sick and tired of seeing Brady do so many un-Bradylike things. So, I punted on the game. I’m not going to say I was wrong, though. Because, that game was not a great one by any means at all. I’m glad our boys got the win, but I’m also glad I didn...

It's always easier to say what was, than to say what will be.

Like people everywhere, I like things to fit into nice neat packages. I measure my football by the season. I break the season into two halves of eight games each. I then break them down further into individual game, halves and quarters. Then finally the play is broken down into last parts, offense and defense. With this in mind, the Patriots have reached the halfway point...

David Ortiz ready to join ranks of Boston legends Brady and Bird

If the Boston Red Sox win the 2013 World Series, David Ortiz is almost a sure bet to be named the series’ MVP. And with good reason. So far in this year’s edition of the Fall Classic, the man known as Big Papi has 11 hits in 15 at bats for a ridiculous batting average of .733. Ortiz has never been the World Series MVP before, but if he took home the award this season, along...

Steelers forced to re-evaluate after crushing loss

The momentum the Pittsburgh Steelers generated during a modest two-game winning streak has vanished. Pittsburgh limped back home early Monday morning sitting at 2-5 on the season following an ugly 21-18 loss to the Oakland Raiders. The Steelers were undone by the same mistakes that have cost them repeatedly this fall. Pittsburgh fell behind early, struggled to protect quarterback...

Steelers Likely To Continue To Face Clock Management Issues

By David Todd The Steelers made a minimum of three mistakes in the last 2:44 of their 21-18 loss to the Raiders Sunday. One was a bonehead play by the quarterback, the others were made by the coaching staff. Clock management was the primary concern and rightly so. I wrote about it here and my co-host on The Terrible Podcast Dave Bryan wrote about it here and here. Most of the attention...
