Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger apparently had his left foot stepped on late in practice on Saturday and he ended up watching the rest of practice standing on the sideline with a ice pack taped to his ankle. Head coach Mike Tomlin did not seem too concerned about the injury following practice and said that the quarterback just had his foot stepped on. Guard Willie Colon (ankle) and running back Isaac Redman (groin) were both sidelined on Saturday and were termed day-to-day by Tomlin. Neither injury is considered serious. DeCastro Admits To Struggling Physically To Roethlisberger

Pittsburgh Steelers first round draft pick David DeCastro reportedly hasn't set Latrobe on fire through the first twelve days of training camp, and according to quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, it is the physical part that is giving DeCastro the most problem. Mike Bires of the Beaver County Times reports Monday that Roethlisberger talked to the Stanford product recently to see...

Unfortunately for Steelers fans, Ben Roethlisberger won’t physically last the entire 2012 season

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger claimed yesterday after practice to not be concerned about the “little torn rotator cuff” in his right arm. “I’m good. It’s OK, just sore,” said Roethlisberger, 30, who the Steelers took 11th overall out of … Continue reading →

2012 Steelers training camp update: August 4th – Roethlisberger injures foot; not considered serious

After a big night in front of a huge crowd for the annual night practice event on Friday, today’s workouts started out without much drama or fanfare. That’s just the way Mike Tomlin would prefer it too. Even though he enjoys the event each year, he’s always been a coach that would rather leave the media out of it as much as possible, as well as all the pomp and circumstance...

The Roethlisberger equation: Can you plug and play

Ben Roethlisberger is the thing that pushes the Steelers offense. When he is playing well, the Steelers are doing well as a team. Roethlisberger revealed on Wednesday that he had a partially torn rotator cuff suffered last year against the Ravens. He says that the injury did not require surgery.  The Steelers doctor and trainers [...]

2012 Pittsburgh Steelers Training Camp – Sunday – Day Twelve Recap

The weather finally caught up with the Pittsburgh Steelers and forced them away from Saint Vincent College in Latrobe on Sunday. The practice was only open to the media who were not allowed to live tweet while present. Because of the social media ban...

Bruised ankle keeps Big Ben out

A day after leaving practice a few minutes early because a teammate stepped on his foot during a drill, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger did not practice Sunday. The two-time Super Bowl winner denied a Saturday report that he had a left ankle sprain, characterizing it as a ''simple bruise.'' ''He should be fine,'' coach Mike Tomlin...

Steelers Training Camp Observations After Two Weeks

The Pittsburgh Steelers have Monday off before getting back on Tuesday and starting their third week of training camp. Now is as good of time as any for me to post some things that have stuck out to me through the first two weeks of training camp based on all of the news, reports and interviews. If you would have told me that Mike Adams was having a better camp and looking more...

Ben being Ben, again

This is getting to be as routine as getting the oil changed or seeing another ridiculous political ad on TV. ‘This’ that I speak is my annual article imploring all of you and myself included to take Steelers’ Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger with a grain of salt. Every season it seems Big Ben announces to us that there is something bothering him physically. An ankle here and...

The Terrible Podcast – Training Camp Sunday Day 12 Special Edition Episode

There is not a whole lot to talk about Sunday night as the Pittsburgh Steelers were forced to travel to their indoor facility today to get their practice in because of the weather. The media was allowed to observe practice, but there was a social media ban on them as a result. Because of that, the information is very thin from what went on today. The episode today is mostly a...
