TEAMS: Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys
Per a report from Alan Robinson of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was not happy with the play calling in their loss to the Dallas Cowboys Sunday. The All Pro quarterback didn’t mince words when asked about offensive coordinator Todd Haley’s play selection. When asked why tight end Heath Miller did not see more targets late in the game, Roethlisberger responded candidly:
“I don‘t think we called the right plays to get him the ball.”
Roethlisberger also expressed disappointment that the no-huddle, which appeared to be working against the Cowboys, was abandoned later in the game. When asked abou the 30-yard touchdown pass to Miller, he said they improvised it because:
“The play that was called wasn‘t a good play at all against a prevent defense. So we started making a play.”
Perhaps the play calling was poor and as the offensive coordinator, Haley will shoulder a hefty portion of the blame. However, it was not Haley who threw a poor pass behind receiver Mike Wallace in overtime that the Cowboys were able to return to the 1-yard line and end the game. Additionally, receiver Antonio Brown had three plays late in the game that contributed to the Cowboys being able to tie the game and force overtime. Safe to say there is plenty of blame to go around in Pittsburgh and internal strife will not help them win out and get into the playoffs.

Roethlisberger...
There’s More to Haley Than Just Poor Play-Calling for the Steelers
If Ben Roethlisberger can stand before the media and take the blame for a loss that clearly was not all on him then so can I. I can admit when I’m wrong and I owe many people an apology although I’m not going as far as some of you think.
I was tired of Bruce Arians’ offense. I was tired of bubble screens and seeing Roethlisberger on his back more than Joan Rivers awaiting another...

Lesson for Redskins: Just Take Care of Business
The Washington Redskins did a huge favor for themselves and the Pittsburgh Steelers last week in defeating the Baltimore Ravens. However, the Steelers failed to return the favor, falling to the Dallas Cowboys on an overtime interception by Ben Roethlisberger.

Reasons For Optimism
In case you are living under a rock, let me state the obvious: Sunday’s game is huge. Not your typical “big game” huge. Assuming there’s no apocalypse on Friday, Sunday’s tilt in Pittsburgh becomes the equivalent of a large meteor hurling towards the earth.
That meteor’s name is Ben Roethlisberger, and the Bengals are Bruce Willis, Ben Affleck and crew.
