The Bengals are back to the break-even mark as they get ready for a reunion. Carson Palmer is returning to town.
The Bengals (5-5) have gotten back into playoff contention by playing their best games of the season back-to-back. They've beaten the defending Super Bowl-champion Giants 31-13 and the lowly Chiefs 28-6 in the last two weeks, emerging from a four-game losing streak that had put their season on the brink.
Cincinnati trails Pittsburgh (6-4) and Indianapolis (6-4) for the two wild card playoff berths.
They've got a notable reunion coming up on Sunday at Paul Brown Stadium. Palmer refused to play for the Bengals anymore after a 4-12 finish in 2010. They traded him to the Raiders, who are 3-7 with the NFL's most generous defense.

Sitting at 3-6, the Raiders’ hopes of making a run at the playoffs continue to slip with every passing week. With a matchup against the red hot New Orleans Saints, their prospects do not get any easier. Considering the struggles of both defenses, this game could easily turn into the biggest of shootouts. Accordingly so, here are the Raiders’ Week [...]
Oakland Raiders coach Dennis Allen told reporters on Monday that he’s “hopeful” RB Darren McFadden will be able to return from his recent ankle injury and play against the Bengals in Week 12, per Vic Tafur.
McFadden will need to practice throughout the week before we can consider him a go, but at least there’s a possibility. Marcel Reece figures to see more action even...
The Oakland Raiders have announced that they’ve waived linebacker Aaron Curry.
Curry was dumped by the Seahawks last season and was picked up by the Raiders.
Curry spent the first part of this season on the PUP list with knee issues. It looks like the Raiders weren’t confident in his health as well as his on the field...
An Alabama judge has dismissed charges against Oakland Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain.
Court documents show that Morgan County Circuit Judge Glenn Thompson dismissed the charges this month after McClain's accuser told prosecutors he no longer wanted to pursue the case.
Decatur Municipal Judge Bill Cook convicted McClain in May of third-degree assault, menacing, reckless...
The Oakland Raiders will be without running backs Darren
McFadden (ankle) and Mike Goodson (ankle) and defensive lineman Richard Seymour
(knee/hamstring) when they take on the New Orleans Saints today, while wide
receiver Darius Heyward-Bey (hamstring) and safety Tyvon Branch (neck) are
questionable to play, according to the team’s injury report.
McFadden and Goodson both...
Oft-injured Oakland running back Darren McFadden (ankle) will once again be listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Cincinnati.Fantasy Spin:McFadden has never been a quick healer and the original diagnosis in Week 9 was 2-4 weeks. Marcel Reece is the best fantasy option out of the Raiders backfield after posting 193 yards from scrimmage last weekend.
(Eds: APNewsNow. Will be updated. With AP Photos.) By JOSH DUBOW AP Sports Writer When the new regime took over the Oakland Raiders last January, they inherited an 8-8 team that fell one game shy of the playoffs, featuring an offense that could be prolific at times and a defense that was historically bad.
Ten games into the first season under general manager Reggie McKenzie and...
Per a tweet from Aaron Curry’s Twitter feed, he has announced he has been released by the Oakland Raiders:
Curry, drafted 4th overall in the 2009 NFL draft by the Seattle Seahawks, was widely considered to be the best linebacker in his draft, and there was even speculation he could go as high as #1 overall. He signed a 6-year, $60 million contract, with $34 million guaranteed...
Aaron Curry tweeted that he no longer plays for the Oakland Raiders this afternoon, which is a pretty clear indication that he was released by the team.
Curry has been hampered by knee injuries for a good majority of his NFL career. He was placed on the Raiders PUP list and wound up missing the team’s first eight games this season.
Curry was the No. 4 overall pick back in the...
The Oakland Raiders come into this game sporting the NFL's worst points against defense yielding 32.2 PPG. Through the air the Raiders have given up 20 TD passes which ties them for second worst in that category. With the quick strike capability of QB Andy Dalton and WR A.J. Green, I would expect for this combination to link up for at least 2 TD passes. A.J. Green comes into...
For seven seasons, Carson Palmer was the face of the Cincinnati Bengals, leading them to two playoff appearances and earning two Pro Bowl trips before the parties endured an ugly split last year.
Returning to Paul Brown Stadium for the first time since he was traded to Oakland, Palmer looks to help the Raiders avoid a fourth straight loss and keep the Bengals from a third consecutive...
Comcast Sports NFL Analyst Lorenzo Neal joins Fox Sports Tonight to recap the Monday Night Football Game and Week 11 in the NFL.
OAKLAND -- The New Orleans' Saints long climb back to .500 ended Sunday with a 38-17 rout of the Oakland Raiders at the O.co Coliseum. After starting 0-4, the Saints are now 5-5, and they have no intention of going backward. "It's been a long grind, especially starting off 0-4," Saints strong safety Roman Harper said. "We never pointed fingers, we stuck...
So this is it? This is how we discover what kind of team the Raiders are?
After all that was said in the past, after all of the grinding, promises about change, and continuous banter about the greatness being in the future, this is how we show what we truly are? Into the garbage chute, flyboys!
This hurts like getting your damn hand was cut off, doesn't it? (believe...
