Bengals-Broncos pregame notes and inactives

Good afternoon from Sports Authority Field at Mile High where the 1-0 Bengals face the 0-1 Broncos. The Bengals will try to go 2-0 for the 12th time in team history and for the third time under Lewis. The last time it happened was 2006 when they started 3-0 but ended with an 8-8 record. However it would mark the first time in team history they would start 2-0 with the first two games on the road. They were 0-2 in 1979 and ’96 when the first two were away from home. INACTIVES Jonathan Fanene will start at left defensive end in place of Robert Geathers, who did not practice the entire week due to a shoulder injury. Meanwhile, Denver has five starters out due to injuries and are down to three wide receivers.
