The Cincinnati Bengals are in the hunt, and they showed that on the field last night against the Eagles, with a defense that forced 5 turnovers on their way to a victory thats puts them a half-game ahead of the Pittsburgh Steelers in their quest for a playoff spot.
QB Andy Dalton (13/27, 127 YDS, 1 TD) threw a TD pass and ran for one. BenJarvus Green-Ellis ran for 106 yards, also rushing for 1-yard TD in the first quarter.
Next week looks to be a very important game for both Cincinnati and Pittsburgh - they face each other. "We've got nothing to celebrate here," head coach Marvin Lewis said. "But we won and we do have some time to get ready for Pittsburgh."
The Eagles, in contrast have hit rock bottom, and head coach Andy Reid looks to be done in Philly. They fall to 4-10, losing double-digit games for the first time since 2005.
"Five turnovers, 31 points. That says it all," Reid said. "Guys played hard, but you can't have those turnovers. You have to take care of the ball. Guys have to do it. I take full responsibility for them."
