NFL Injury Report:
Cincinnati Bengals running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis
returned to the practice field on Wednesday after missing Sunday’s matchup
against the Baltimore Ravens due to a hamstring injury, reports Josh Alper of
Pro Football Talk.
Bengals running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis didn’t play
in Week 17 after tweaking his hamstring in warmups for Cincinnati’s game
against the Ravens and he didn’t participate in practice on Tuesday, raising
some fear that he wouldn’t be able to play against the Texans this Sunday.
Green-Ellis was back on the field Wednesday in what will likely end up with him
being listed as a limited participant in the Bengals practice.
Green-Ellis was slated to start against the Ravens Sunday,
but the running back felt his hamstring tweak prior to the start of the game.
For this reason he was kept out of the contest, but he’s expected to return
this weekend against the Houston Texans.
In his first season with the Bengals, Green-Ellis rushed for
1,094 yards on 278 carries with six touchdowns.
