Bengals LB Rashad Jeanty placed on PUP list

According to Bengals beat writer Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Cincinnati Bengals have placed linebacker Rashad Jeanty on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list. He was expected to be recovered by the start of training camp, but the injury has taken more time to heal than expected. Jeanty suffered a broken left fibula on the opening kickoff during the Bengals 24-14 loss to the New York Jets in the opening round of the playoffs last season. He took over the starting job for Rey Maualuga—who suffered a broken foot in Week 16 against the Kansas City Chiefts—at the end of the season and has spent the last four seasons in Cincinnati.
