Big plays were the difference the first time the Bengals faced the Ravens. They ended up looming large again on Sunday. Two Ray Rice touchdown runs of 51 yards or more and he had a 16-yard run late in the fourth quarter which helped the Ravens defeat the Bengals 24-16 in the regular-season finale. Despite the loss, the Jets loss to the Dolphins and the Broncos loss to the Chiefs helped the Bengals clinch a playoff spot. It will be the third postseason appearance in Marvin Lewis’ nine-year tenure and second in three years. The Bengals (9-7) will face Houston in a Wild Card round game next weekend with day and time to be determined. With the win, Baltimore (12-4) secures the division title for the first time since 2006 and will be the second seed. It is the first time the AFC North has had three teams in the playoffs.
