In the final three games of his rookie season, Bengals receiver Mohamed Sanu caught four touchdowns and earned himself the No. 2 receiver role in Cincinnati behind A.J. Green.
But late last week, Sanu suffered a stress fracture in his foot during practice. On Tuesday, the Bengals placed him on the IR list, ending his season.
Though Sanu threw a 73-yard touchdown pass on the first play in Week 3, it took him a while to get acclimated in the receiving corps.
But in those final three games, he caught 11 passes and seemed to have figured out his role.
It's unfortunate for Mo and for us because of what he was doing, coach Marvin Lewis said. But we will pick it up and move forward. Source: CBS Sports Attached Thumbnails

Carlos Dunlap named AFC Defensive PotW
Bengals DE Carlos Dunlap today was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week by the NFL.
The third-year pro from Florida had two sacks of Philip Rivers at San Diego last week, and on each one he forced a fumble. The Chargers recovered the first fumble, in the first quarter, but the resulting seven-yard loss was key in forcing them to settle for a field goal and a 7-3 deficit. Late in...
Bengals add a “Boom” to their roster
Bengals promoted RB Dan Herron from their practice squad. A sixth-round rookie, “Boom” managed just 42 yards on 26 preseason carries with the Bengals. His elevation to the 53-man roster suggests Cedric Peerman’s ankle sprain is of the nagging variety. Brian Leonard will likely take over as BenJarvus Green-Ellis’ primary backup. Boom was a very good player at Ohio State University...

WDW Episode 92 – It Wasn’t Pretty But It’s a Win
Well it wasn’t pretty, but a win is a win and that’s all that matters at this time of year. The Bengals historically have not played well on the West Coast but to win in SD despite not having your best day on offense is a huge step for this team. Have to give it up to this defense though. They have allowed only 1 TD in the last 3 games, a fluke TD in garbage time vs the Raiders...

A Look Back to 1973: Cowboys Dominate Bengals in Their First Meeting
Cliff Harris returns a punt against the Cincinnati Bengals in 1973.
Though the Cincinnati Bengals became a franchise in 1968, the Dallas Cowboys did not face the new Cincinnati team until 1973. That was because the Bengals were part of the AFL until 1970, and the teams were in different conferences when the leagues merged in 1970.
The teams finally met on November 4, 1973 at Texas...
