The Cincinnati Bengals announced that practice squad defensive back John Bowie has been placed on the "Practice Squad/Injured" list after the former fourth-round pick of the Oakland Raiders tore his right Achilles during Thursday's practice. A native of Columbus, Ohio who played his college ball at the University of Cincinnati, Bowie is the answer to the trivia question "Who did the Raiders pick with the 2007 draft choice acquired from the New England Patriots in exchange for Randy Moss?". Bowie had two tackles in five games over two-plus seasons with the Raiders, who released him with an injury settlement during the 2009 season. Bowie went to training camp last season with the Cleveland Browns, but did not make the team's 53-man roster and ended up in the United Football League. Bowie worked out for the Bengals before joining their practice squad last month.
