Jim Anderson has retired after spending the last 29 years as Cincinnati's running backs coach, the longest tenure of any Bengals coach.
Anderson joined the team in 1984 after coaching at various colleges. He worked under five Bengals head coaches - Sam Wyche, Dave Shula, Bruce Coslet, Dick LeBeau and Marvin Lewis.
Anderson said on Tuesday that he loves coaching, but it's time for a new challenge.
His streak of 29 years with one team was the longest in the NFL for any position coach. It's also a Bengals record for a coach, surpassing the 28 seasons that Kim Wood spent as conditioning coach before Lewis took over.
The coaching staff is set to return mostly intact following a second straight playoff appearance.

Focus On: Running Backs
This is a position that must be addressed high in the draft. Excessive pressure is being put on Andy Dalton because the running game is often stagnant. The Bengals looked their best in the 3-games stretch where BJGE had consecutive 100-yard games. That needs to be the rule, not the noteworthy occurrence.

The Bengals A.J. Green Said He Had A Lot Of Fun At The Pro Bowl, I should Think So.
A.J. Green caught the first of three touchdowns within seconds of starting the game. Green was on the receiving end of a Peyton Manning pass that put the AFC on top briefly in the game. Green had 3 touchdowns receiving in the Pro Bowl. He quickly became one of the quarterbacks favorite receivers in his second pro bowl. A.J. Green is going to get to a lot more Pro Bowls, the way the...
Bengals Talking New Contract With DE Michael Johnson
Bengals defensive end Michael Johnson has steadily improved, nearly doubling his six quarterback sacks in 2011 with 11.5 in 2012, which ranks fifth in a single-season in franchise history. Johnson, one of Cincinnati's 2009 third-round selections, is entering the offseason as an unrestricted free agent that Cincinnati would like to have back.

Focus On: Cornerbacks
Sometimes in sports, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. I would say that was the case with the Bengals’ corners this year. Largely a group of cast-offs from other teams, the team ended up ranked 7th in passing defense for the season. Who would have guessed that to start the season?

Browns introduce new DC Ray Horton, his plan
BEREA, Ohio -- One inarguable point was made during Ray Hortons first news conference as the Browns defensive coordinator: He knows what he wants.
Give me big men who can run and little men who can hit, Horton said Tuesday morning.
Over and over Horton repeated it.
Perhaps a half dozen times.
Perhaps more.
You give me (those) two things, well be a good defense, Horton said.
I use...
Ravens D-coordinator Pees has own means of success
(Updates. With AP Photos.) By DAVID GINSBURG AP Sports Writer When it comes to running the Baltimore Ravens defense, Dean Pees has no regard for history, tradition or statistics.
