Fox Sports Ohio:
The Bengals released their first depth chart of the preseason Friday and there aren't too many surprises to it.
Most notably, Orson Charles is listed first among H-backsfullbacks, ahead of John Conner and the injured Chris Pressley. Charles, a fourth-round draft choice last year, is a converted tight end. George Iloka is listed first team at strong safety, ahead of Taylor Mays and rookie third-round pick Shawn Williams.
Take this depth chart with a grain of salt. It's one of those topics head coach Marvin Lewis despises talking about and claims to pay little attention. Carlos Dunlap was listed as the first team left defensive end all of last season but Robert Geathers started every game. Dunlap's lone start of the season came at right end.
Second-year player Mohamed Sanu is listed as the second starting wide receiver along with A.J. Green, while Marvin Jones is listed behind Green. Kyle Cook is the first team center, ahead of Trevor Robinson and rookie T.J. Johnson.
Dre Kirkpatrick, last year's first of two No. 1 picks, has had a good training camp so far but is still third at left cornerback behind Terence Newman and Brandon Ghee. Ghee has quietly had a productive camp as well. Most importantly for the fourth-year player, he has stayed healthy throughout the offseason and through the first week of training camp.

With the calendar turning to August and the first preseason game right around the corner, it’s time to get serious about fantasy football. There’s still ample time to create your big board and craft a list of sleepers, but waiting any longer to begin will put you at a competitive disadvantage. It is imperative that you have a rock-solid sheet of sleepers at your disposal come...
There is no surprise when people think of the Cincinnati Bengals, that the stellar defense is one of the first things to come to mind. Coming off its best season to date, the defense has retained all of its key personnel from 2012, and all eyes are on the front line to continue the reputation around the league from last season.
Although the team made some minor acquisitions to the...
Bengals wide receiver Andrew Hawkins had to be carted off the field Thursday night at Paul Brown Stadium after suffering an apparent left ankle injury during training camp practice.
Hawkins dove to catch a pass and came down awkwardly on the ankle. He attempted to get up and walk off on his own but had to be helped off the field by trainers. He was taken off the field on a cart...
After tweaking his knee about a week ago in practice, the Bengals are expected to have A.J. Green sit out their preseason opener next week, according to the Cincinnati Inquirer.
A.J. Green (knee) hasn’t practiced since the first day of camp and won’t be rushed back into action by the team. All signs point to him sitting out the first preseason game.

The Bengals have signed defensive tackle Vaughn Meatoga (MAY'-uh-TOHNG'-uh) from Hawaii, giving him a chance to show he can fit into their line rotation.
Meatoga also was with the Bengals in the 2012 preseason. He spent time on the practice squads at Oakland and Seattle last year. No team had signed him this year.
Also on Friday, the Bengals cleared running back Cedric...
CINCINNATI Training camp is a little more than a week old, time enough to start formulating some observations.
Players can shine on one day but do they come back the next and repeat their play? Some players make an impression because you might not consider them real threats to make the final 53-man roster but watch them day-after-day and they are giving themselves a fighting chance...
There are no words that do this man's facial hear justice. If I already didn't know that my own beard grows in more like a Brillo pad I would have to consider trying to emulate this guy. I mean hey--he can carry a friggin 6-pack with his face.
How cool is that?!?! Well done Garey Faulkner. Well done.

A.J. Green isn't expected to play in the Bengals' preseason opener Thursday against the Falcons. SOURCE: Cincinnati EnquirerFantasy Spin:A knee injury has kept Green out of commission for over a week. He has plenty of time to recover before the season starts so this shouldn't affect his value if you have a draft coming up.
