thCAYPXF7K Bengals Should Thank Cleveland Browns for Missing on Andrew HawkinsAs the Bengals continue to be the beneficiaries of the breakout performance of former CFL star Andrew Hawkins, who has solidified his role as not only the teams’ primary slot-receiver, but arguably the most consistent offensive player through the first three weeks of the NFL season. And they owe a big thanks to their in-state rivals, the Cleveland Browns for passing on Hawkins. The Browns originally called Hawk during the 2008 spring and invited him to their rookie minicamp and did well enough that he was told he would be signed. He never got that call, as the Browns felt they were better off with the recently drafted Paul Hubbard(6th-round, now out of NFL).

Hawkins would then find himself going on a Dhani Jones-like journey, going from caddying at a high-dollar country club, working at a windmill engine factory as a floor sweeper, to a volunteer with his alma-matter, Toledo, working for their marketing department. He later became a scout in the Detroit Lions scouting department, and then became the runner-up on Michael Irvin’s reality TV show, 4th and Long. He eventually landing in Canada to play for the CFL’s Montreal Alouettes, where he won consecutive Grey Cup.

BEREAGreg Little caught four passes for 77 yards against the Ravens, but he will be remembered for the one he didnt catch. With 4:45 to play in the game and the Browns trailing 23-13, Little went high into the air in the end zone and couldnt come down with the pass that wouldve made it 23-20. Instead, Phil Dawson kicked a 52-yar d field goal to make it 23-16. You dream and go...

LB Craig Robertson is making a name for himself in Cleveland

Craig Robertson was an undrafted free agent out of the University of North Texas who made his first presence last year for the Browns. Robertson has done an amazing job for the Cleveland Browns defense.  Robertson who ended the season last year on the Browns practice squad, was signed to a reserve/futures contract in 2012. Let me tell you, this is how you make someone notice...

25 NSFW ‘Frustrated Browns Fans Dropping F-Bombs On 0-4 Team’ Tweets

As if being a Browns fan isn’t bad enough, last night was just adding insult to injury. They teased the fans into thinking they had a chance to beat the Ravens, and naturally, collapsed at the end. At the center of it all was wide receiver Greg Little (@Str8UpGlittle) who dropped a would be game-tying touchdown in the end-zone in the last minute. Browns fans went nuts, ripping...

The Best Moments From Browns-Ravens Thursday Night

For a game that was only supposed to be of interest because of the officiating, Browns-Ravens ended up being – I don’t know if “enjoyable” is the right word – at least watchable. In fact, the game came down to the final play, which was in itself quite hilarious. There was rain and you had to watch Cleveland attempt to execute what it calls offense, but last night was...

What We Learned From Last Night’s Ravens/Browns Game

The real refs are much better Great to see a smooth game played. The product may not have been the best, but at least the refs didn’t add an additional hour and half to the game with constant meetings, reviews and overall ***********. Welcome back, refs. Here’s to hoping Ed Hochuli kept in shape over the lockout. There was noticeably less Cee Lo last night Our prayers were all...
