The Bengals have signed center Jeff Faine to replace the injured Kyle Cook, who will miss considerable time - and possibly the season - because of injury. The 31-year-old center started 15 games for Tampa Bay last season. He was released on March 14 and has been a free agent. Cincinnati suddenly needed a center when tests found that Cook had a significant injury to his right foot and ankle from a preseason game on Thursday. Their only backup at the spot was undrafted rookie Trevor Robinson, who didn't play center in high school or college. Faine was the Browns' first-round pick in 2003. He was traded to New Orleans for the 2006 season, then moved to Tampa Bay as a free agent in 2008.

Bengals trying to be more than one-year wonder

Throughout their 44-year history, the Cincinnati Bengals have rarely been more than a one-year playoff wonder. The Bengals have gone to the playoffs in back-to-back seasons only once. They went to the Super Bowl for the first time and lost to San Francisco during the 1981 season, then made the playoffs again the following year. That's it. It's even worse by another measure...

Bengals QB Andy Dalton's Arm Injury Isn't Serious

Bengals Add Former Brown Jeff Faine

The Cleveland Browns’ former first round draft pick Jeff Faine will be coming back to Cleveland… when the Bengals come here. Faine was traded to the New Orleans Saints when the Browns signed LeCharles Bentley. While Bentley never played a down for the Browns, it is hard to argue with signing a player of that caliber. Still, it always seemed strange that the Browns would try and...

A Little Nervous…

Tonight our Bengals play their final tune-up for the regular season against the new-look, Luck-ed up Colts.  There won’t be much to see from the starters, so there won’t be much opportunity to see the guys who will take the majority of the snaps against Baltimore in the big Monday Night opener.  That’s too bad, because frankly I’m getting a little uneasy about things about...
