The Bengals signed former Indianapolis defensive end Jamaal Anderson on Saturday and agreed to another contract with defensive tackle Pat Sims, who had been an unrestricted free agent.
Anderson was Atlanta's first-round pick in 2007. He played four seasons for the Falcons before moving to Indianapolis for last season. He started one game for the Colts and had three sacks overall.
Sims has spent his four seasons with Cincinnati, starting a total of 23 games. He played in the first 11 last season, including one start, before an ankle injury ended his season. He had 28 tackles and one sack.
The Bengals have lost defensive ends Jonathan Fanene (Patriots) and Frostee Rucker (Browns) during free agency.

The Bengals have signed a free agent guard in Travelle Wharton, a free agent cornerback in Jason Allen and a free agent running back in BenJarvus Green-Ellis, and they've re-signed some of their own players including free safety Reggie Nelson and cornerback Adam Jones. They have addressed most of their needs in free agency without going overboard on spending and even though...
CINCINNATI—The Bengals are in the middle of a youth revolution. The 2011 season saw them get rid of their veteran QB Carson Palmer and their seasoned WR Chad Ochocinco.
In their place came rookie sensations quarterback Andy Dalton and wideout A.J. Green.
In the spirit of their desire to go “young,” the Bengals recently signed former Patriots RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis who is...
The Cincinnati Bengals entered the 2012 NFL Free Agency frenzy more flush with the salary cap than any other club in the league. After the Tampa Bay Buccaneers finally opened their treasure chests last week, it appears Cincinnati could be taking a cue.
Last Saturday the team made its first move, adding ex-Panthers right guard Travelle Wharton, before announcing a deal with former...
The Cincinnati Bengals have announced the hiring of two new scouts to the organization, and neither seem to be relatives of the Brown family. Robert Livingston and Steven Radicevic were added to the Bengals scouting department. This goes to show that the Bengals are continuing to try and improve the organization. The Bengals believe in [...]
The Bengals re-signed cornerback Adam ''Pacman'' Jones and offensive tackle Anthony Collins on Friday. Cincinnati also signed defensive end Derrick Harvey, a free agent who played for the Broncos last season.
Jones has played five years in the NFL, and will enter his third season with the Bengals. He was sidelined with a neck injury last season, but still played...
Former Cincinnati Bengal Cedric Benson picked up the mic at the VIBE House during SXSW 2012, and gave out a few bars that we really wish he would of kept to himself — Now Ced has to go find himself another job after the Bengals signed another running back. Only advice I can offer him is to leave this bit out of his audition tape. -TO
Cedric Benson Did Work On His Ex Roommate...
BenJarvus Green-Ellis signed a 3 year deal with a $3 million base salary with the Cincinnati Bengals this week. Does this mean they are done with Cedric Benson? Is this an improvement? Cedric Benson did a pretty good job carry the rushing load for the Bengals last season. The Bengals have a few pieces left to put into place to improve a team that has already turned around...
Just when it looked like the Bengals were having an extremely-poor offseason – even for their cheap/incompetent standards – they finished somewhat strong on the free-agent front. They didn’t make any earth-shattering moves, but they made some solid signings. Among that group included five free agents from the outside, and five players that were retained by the Bengals...
Hot News for RB Cedric Benson
With Ohio State and three other teams I don’t care about in the NCAA Final Four, it’s the perfect time to find our favorite Bengal at four different positions. Voting is open all week. Next week, we’ll throw the four winners together to determine the 2012 WDF Champion. Game on!
Perhaps I’m the only one who has baby bottles all over the house and understands the wordplay in the headline. But I digress. Just as in many years before, the Bengals did not bring in a big name during free agency. Their roster moves couldn’t really be considered a splash, providing little more than minor [...]
Ladies and gentlemen, the sixth seal has been broken. The end is near. Those goofy 2012 theories are in fact, correct. Armageddon is upon us. Call it, “Invasion of the Body Snatchers: Cincy Style.” Either that, or Marvin Lewis and Katie Blackburn have finally staged their long-planned coup of Bengal headquarters. After over 20 years [...]
