The Cincinnati Bengals agreed to a three-year contract with running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis on Thursday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed for Green-Ellis, who spent the past four seasons with the New England Patriots. Green-Ellis, 26, has been a workmanlike back, rushing for 1,000 yards only once (1,008 in 2010-11), but he has amassed 24 touchdowns in the past two seasons. Additionally, Green-Ellis has never fumbled in 510 careers. He is not much of a receiving threat, with only 26 career catches. Green-Ellis will replace free agent Cedric Benson, who has had three straight 1,000-yard seasons with the Bengals but has averaged only 3.8 yards per carry in his career and has had a number of off-field incidents.
