The Bengals have added another offensive lineman, signing fourth year guard-tackle Isaac Sowells. Sowells (6-3, 320) was a fourth-round pick out of Indiana by Cleveland in 2006. He spent three seasons in Cleveland, playing in 17 games. He was with the Browns last year during the preseason but was waived on Sept. 6 and was not with an NFL team during the regular season. Sowells is the 16th offensive lineman on the roster but Jonathan Luigs (hip) is out until training camp and Jason Shirley suffered an Achilles injury while playing basketball almost two months ago, meaning he should end up on either the PUP or reserve/non-football injury list. The Bengals kept nine last year. Overall the roster is at 89 with 80 signed. They must be down to 80 signed by the time training camp opens in late July.
