The Cincinnati Bengals have strung together two pretty good seasons after losing their franchise receiving leader Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson and long-time passer Carson Palmer. They’ve started anew with Andy Dalton and AJ Green and have appeared in the postseason for the past two seasons. This year they’ll go for their third straight, and fans will have an inside view of their training camp heading into the season. Per Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Bengals will soon be announcing that they’ll be the team featured on the eighth season of the HBO Training Camp series. This will be the Bengals second stint on the show, appearing in 2009 with the aforementioned duo of Palmer and Johnson. Of the current Bengals, only thirteen of them remain from the ’09 series. The main lines of the previous season were the antics of Johnson, the recovery from injury of Palmer, the contract holdout of then-rookie Andre Smith and the storyline following receiver Chris Henry who has since passed away. It’s only been a few short years, but this is a completely different team and the Bengals were a fun one to watch on their last run. Following their last appearance on Hard Knocks, the Bengals finished first in the AFC North, sweeping the division and finishing with a 10-6 record. One of the most memorable moments of the 2009 season was the speech of Head Coach Marvin Lewis who ripped into his team after a preseason loss.   Follow us on Twitter @DownandDistance Down and Distance Editor-in-Chief – Justin Arbogast @NFLGuy_SK The post Bengals tabbed for 8th Season of HBO’s “Hard Knocks” appeared first on DOWN & DISTANCE - Presented by Sports-Kings.
