The Cincinnati Bengals have strung together two pretty good seasons after losing their franchise receiving leader Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson and long-time passer Carson Palmer. They’ve started anew with Andy Dalton and AJ Green and have appeared in the postseason for the past two seasons. This year they’ll go for their third straight, and fans will have an inside view of their training camp heading into the season. Per Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Bengals will soon be announcing that they’ll be the team featured on the eighth season of the HBO Training Camp series. This will be the Bengals second stint on the show, appearing in 2009 with the aforementioned duo of Palmer and Johnson. Of the current Bengals, only thirteen of them remain from the ’09 series. The main lines of the previous season were the antics of Johnson, the recovery from injury of Palmer, the contract holdout of then-rookie Andre Smith and the storyline following receiver Chris Henry who has since passed away. It’s only been a few short years, but this is a completely different team and the Bengals were a fun one to watch on their last run. Following their last appearance on Hard Knocks, the Bengals finished first in the AFC North, sweeping the division and finishing with a 10-6 record. One of the most memorable moments of the 2009 season was the speech of Head Coach Marvin Lewis who ripped into his team after a preseason loss.   Follow us on Twitter @DownandDistance Down and Distance Editor-in-Chief – Justin Arbogast @NFLGuy_SK The post Bengals tabbed for 8th Season of HBO’s “Hard Knocks” appeared first on DOWN & DISTANCE - Presented by Sports-Kings.

2013 Arizona Cardinals Fantasy Football Projections

QB Carson Palmer (Arizona) Carson Palmer is a better fantasy quarterback than real quarterback. In reality, he turns the ball over too much, is too inefficient inside the red zone, and produces too much of his production in garbage time, which is why he was able to throw for 4000 yards with a 85.3 QB rating on a 4-12 team that scored 18.1 points per game last season in Oakland. He’s...

Cincinnati Bengals to be featured on upcoming season of HBO’s “Hard Knocks”

The Cincinnati Bengals will be the subject of HBO’s NFL training camp documentary miniseries, Hard Knocks, once again this upcoming Fall. The Bengals were featured on the show back in 2009 as well. This Bengals team is a lot different than the one that was documented a handful of years ago, though. Back in ’09, Ochocinco and Carson Palmer were team leaders; now, rising stars...

Bengals Selected For HBO “Hard Knocks”

Per a confirmed report by the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Cincinnati Bengals will be featured on HBO’s Hard Knocks for this upcoming football season. The news was originally reported by Philadelphia Daily News writer Paul Domowitch via Twitter. However shortly after posting that tweet, he erased it. Guess he didn’t heed the words of Herm Edwards when it comes to posting tweets...

Building The Ultimate Divisional Team: NFC West

OffenseQB- Carson Palmer QB, Arizona Cardinals - This pick may draw a lot of criticism because of the obvious Kaepernick and Wilson being passed up. But, I think we are talking for 2013 who I would pick and it is Palmer. You have to take account sophomore slump intertwined with the league passing them.RB- Marshawn Lynch RB, Seattle Seahawks- Lynch is the most dynamic of the four...

Bengals Reportedly To Be Featured On HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’

It looks like the Cincinnati Bengals will be featured on HBO’s 8th season of the fan favorite show ‘Hard Knocks.’ Per Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer is the man who got the scoop on the series, and I can’t say that I’m exactly very excited. An official announcement of the #bengals being this season's team on Hard Knocks is likely to happen next week. Two weeks...

Fight or Flight: Three Key 2013 Games

Image Credit: LightBearers.org Not much is expected out of Gang Green, coming off a very painful 6-10, 2012 season, that felt much worse than the record books show. Yet, this year's Jets team is very young, and I've said it all along: you never know what to expect from a young team. Here's three matchups that could make-or-break the New York Jets.  1) Week 1...

Cincinnati Bengals to Appear on Hard Knocks

Every now and then, we like to write about other teams and the NFL in general. Today, we found out that the Cincinnati Bengals will be appearing on the NFL Hard Knocks show, according Yahoo Sports. For the 2nd time in 5 years, the Bengals are back on TV. Unfortunately, this time without Chad Johnson, the man who made the last season so great. However, this season there should be...

"Hard Knocks" timing strange for the Bengals

The news that the Bengals would be featured on this year's season of "Hard Knock" spread quickly across the internet, but it still hasn't cleared up one lingering question. Why? Frankly, the move to allow film crews into training camp by the Bengals is nothing short of confusing. This isn't a tiny-market team looking for some preseason exposure before the...
