Bengals Post:
After participating in just one practice this preseason, the Cincinnati Bengals have terminated the contract of wide receiver Antonio Bryant, according to the team site.
Bryant is been aggravated by a knee injury that bothered him throughout the 2009 season. Bob Glauber of NewsDay.com reported last week that a NFL source reported the team was ready to part ways with the injured wideout.
Now, Bryant becomes a free agent once again—just over four months after signing with the team in March. He signed a four-year deal with the Bengals in March worth $28 million—including a $7.85 million bonus. While Cincinnati takes a huge financial loss for deciding to part ways, they still have an effective wideout to play alongside Chad Ochocinco in Terrell Owens—who signed with the team just a few days prior to the start of training camp.
