There's been speculation this week that the Bengals would trade running back Rudi Johnson, but it turns out that they won't. A league source tells PFT that the Bengals couldn't get anything for Johnson, so instead they're going to release him. Johnson, who carried 170 times for 497 yards last year, was slated to earn salaries of $3.45 million in 2008 and $3.6 million in 2009 but instead he'll now become an unrestricted free agent and hope to catch on elsewhere.
