According to the Bengals beat writers who receive the active reports 90 minutes before kickoff, Bengals cornerback Nate Clements is starting against the Miami Dolphins at strong safety with Taylor Mays being named as his backup.

Terence Newman will start at left cornerback in place of Clements' shift.

There are also some noting that defensive end Carlos Dunlap is listed as the No. 1 left defensive end on the depth chart, but Robert Geathers is still expected to make the start.
