This Ship Has Sailed It looks as though Cedric Benson may be ready to set sail right out of Cincinnati this offseason.  After making comments about OC Jay Gruden and the new direction the offense was taking in 2011. “I just think we didn’t stick with what the offense was built on,” Benson said Tuesday night. “Since I’ve been there the past four years we’ve ran the football to try and win games. Even when we had Carson (Palmer) and Chad (Ochocinco), we still kept a strong identity in the run game.” “I just feel we got away from it. We didn’t let that part of the offense grow the way it could have.” Did the Boat Captain not realize that the team won 9 games and went to the playoffs?  It was only the first season for Gruden, Dalton, and AJ Green, so bigger and better things are on the horizon.  Maybe not for Benson.
