Baltimore Ravens safety Bernard Pollard knows plenty about dishing out pain having knocked several Patriots out of games throughout his career. We now have to show Pollard respect though for being able to play in immense pain.  The Baltimore Sun is reporting that Pollard played the majority of the season with six cracked ribs. Pollard first hurt his ribs in the second game of the season against the Eagles.  He then reaggravated the injury in a loss to the Redskins and missed the final three games of the year. He did his best to keep the injury quiet, but spoke about after the Super Bowl. “It’s tough dealing with pain,” Pollard told The Baltimore Sun. “For us as football players, we know we’re going to go through it. At the same time, that’s the name of the game. Six of them, yep. Hey, it’s up to us to go out there and play, and we did.” Kudos to Pollard for still knocking dudes out while injured. Ray Rice had a bit of a miscue during the Baltimore Ravens’ Super Bowl victory parade on Tuesday. As you can see in the video above, Rice fell off a float at some point during the parade. Rice actually told WFAN’s Boomer & Carton about the incident during an interview on Wednesday. “You know, the float stopped short and I fell off of it, but I caught myself,” Rice told...

Merril Hoge says Joe Flacco is the best quarterback in the NFL right now (Video)

ESPN NFL analyst Merril Hoge went on Sportscenter this morning and claimed that Joe Flacco is the best quarterback in the NFL right now. I agree with Hoge, but Flacco won’t be the best next season.     Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter...

Caption the Photo: The Ray Lewis Super Bowl Cry Faces

Thank the Lord (no weapon) that Dick Vermeil wasn’t the coach of the Ravens, they would have run out of tissue for all the tears.  Part tears of joy and part tears for the camera, but regardless of what you think of Ray Lewis personally he went out on top. That is all you can hope for as an elite athlete. Ray Lewis was blessed with a long productive (controversial at times) career...

D’Qwell Jackson: I wear No. 52 because of Ray Lewis

When a linebacker comes into the NFL, it’s like a receiver who wants to wear 80 because of Jerry Rice, or a running back who wants to wear 22 because of Emmitt Smith. I always wanted to wear 52 because of Ray Lewis. Ask Patrick Willis why he wears 52. It’s a tribute to the best we’ve ever seen. Just seeing his passion for the game, every game, was enough for me. Anytime I see...

After long delay, 49ers score touchdown

A power outage that lasted 34 minutes paused the play in the Super Bowl. On the second full possession after power came back on, the San Francisco 49ers finally got on the board. Colin Kaepernick hit Michael Crabtree, who bounced off of Cary Williams and Bernard Pollard, for a touchdown. The Ravens lead 28-13 with a little more than seven minutes to go in the third quarter.
