Baltimore Ravens safety Bernard Pollard, the one teammates called the "Patriot Killer" in the locker room following the Ravens 28-13 victory Sunday, says New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's first-half slide was "bull crap." Late in the second quarter Brady ran down the left side of the field, to avoid being hit by Ed Reed he slid to the ground with his right leg up in the air, but when Reed attempted to jump over Brady, he appeared to kick Reed. "You've got to keep them legs down," said Pollard. "You've go to keep the legs down. We all know and understand what's going on there. And as a quarterback, when you go to slide, we're taught . . . we can't do anything. When you come sliding, and your leg is up in the air trying to kick somebody, that's bull crap." Teammates called Pollard the "Patriot Killer" because late in the fourth quarter Pollard delivered a huge helmet-to-helmet strike on Stevan Ridley, which left the Patriots running back motionless on the field.  Ridley never returned to the game.  "It's just a tackle. It's football," Pollard said, "He broke a hole and we filled. That's fine. That's football. I hope he's okay. We're competitive in the moment. But when everything calms down you want that guy to be okay." Pollard has had a history of injuring Patriots players, which all started when he injured Brady's knee (while a member of the Kansas City Chiefs) that forced him to miss the rest of the season.  Wes Welker tore an anterior cruciate ligament on a Pollard tackle, and tight end Rob Gronkowski sprained his ankle on a hit by Pollard.
