Bernard Pollard has agreed to a one-year-deal with the Tennessee Titans. The salary compensation is unknown at the moment. The safety signed a three-year extension with the Ravens last year but was released by Baltimore in order to clear cap space. According to ESPN, the Ravens saved around $1 million dollars by cutting Pollard. Over the last six seasons, Pollard, 28, has totaled 441 tackles, which ranks for second in the league amongst safeties behind Roman Harper with 455. Pollard is also fourth in sacks and forced fumbles over the last six years. During that time, Pollard has intercepted the ball nine times, forced 10 fumbles, and deflected the ball 40 times. More specifically, here are Pollard’s statistics for the last regular season: Games: 13 Sacks: 2 Interceptions: 1 Tackles: 71 Pollard’s statistics recently have been okay, but what the safety has been known for is his dirty hits. Over the last few years, Pollard has injured top players such as Tom Brady, Wes Welker, and Rob Gronkowski. The safety was drafted in the second round (54th overall pick) in the 2006 draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. Pollard played three seasons for the Chiefs before he was released in 2009 and signed with the Texans. After two seasons with Houston, Pollard signed with Baltimore. After agreeing with the Titans, Pollard told ESPN: “Oh wow, I can’t say enough about Baltimore. They were great to me and my family.” As soon as more terms of the deal are known, they will be posted here. Follow me on twitter: @MrLauterbachXLJ
