With another game against Pittsburgh only a few days away, I got to thinking about the best Bengals/Steelers game I’ve ever witnessed. Two of them came to mind, one at home, and one at Heinz Field.
In the road category, you have to go back to 2003 when Jon Kitna was quarterback and Corey Dillon hadn’t yet stormed out of Cincy. Kitna hit Matt Schobel (remember him?) in the back of the endzone to complete an improbable fourth-quarter comeback.
In the home category, I only went back to last season, when Brian Leonard converted a long fourth down and Carson Palmer hit Andre Caldwell for a game-winning touchdown.
Perhaps the Bengals will find a way to give us a brief respite from this season of torment Sunday. But until then, let’s live in the past.
What’s the best Bengals/Steelers game you remember?
