It’s well known that the Ravens have had the most compensatory picks (31 in total) in NFL history. What’s not been publicized is their success with those extra picks.
The Ravens have used compensatory picks to select four starters (guard Edwin Mulitalo, offensive tackle Tony Pashos and fullbacks Ovie Mughelli and Le’Ron McClain) as well as four quality backups (running back Chester Taylor, linebacker Cornell Brown, tight end Quinn Sypniewski and linebacker Prescott Burgess).
Of course, there have been some that never suited up for a regular-season game for the Ravens: wide receiver Derek Abney, running back Allen Patrick, safety Antwoine Sanders and tight end Cam Quayle (the Ravens’ only Mr. Irrelevant).
