So it's natural for most fans, even though it may be early in free agency, to feel a sense of restlesness as they see so many top-tier pass rushers find new homes. That said, let's take a deep breath and see what the market still has to offer. Dwight Freeney Freeney, a 12-year veteran, is coming off a season in which he posted the second-lowest sack total of his career. His production has actually steadily been decling since 2009, from 13.5 sacks in 09' to five sacks in 2012. So why would the Falcons want a declining defensive end? Well, not only should Freeney be a cap-friendly option, but his experience could prove to be invaluable for the Falcons raw defensive line.
