Written By Clifford S.M.   Russell Wilson and Robert Griffin are both smarter, more efficient and more accurate than Andrew Luck is. But in the media’s haste to make Luck out to be Johnny Unitas they’ll never admit it…..at least they haven’t yet…….What they WILL concede, of course, is that Wilson and Griffin are more “mobile” than Luck is…..…but that’s about all you’ll hear…Wilson’s generalship is nothing short of amazing for someone as inexperienced as he is. And Griffin’s poise for a rookie (or for a quarterback of any tenure), is pretty special…to say nothing of his other attributes…   C

Andrew Luck Sets NFL Rookie Passing Record in Playoff-Clinching Victory Over Chiefs

Cam Newton‘s record didn’t stand for very long. Andrew Luck broke Newton’s rookie record for most passing yards in a season. Newton set the mark in 2012 with 4,051 yards. Luck needed just 74 yards to pass the record heading into Sunday afternoon. Luck passed the mark on a 23-yard pass to fellow rookie T.Y. Hilton with just under a minute remaining in the first half. Luck finished...

Andrew Luck couldn't help but smile thinking about the joyous celebration taking place just down the hall, through the big metal doors marking the entrance to the Colts' locker room. Even interim coach Bruce Arians had been dancing. ''It's a fun locker room, a great locker room,'' Luck said after leading Indianapolis to a 20-13 victory over Kansas City...

Colts' Luck sets NFL's rookie record

The expectations placed upon Andrew Luck almost seemed unfair. Being the heir to Peyton Manning in Indianapolis is heady stuff for a rookie taking the reins of a franchise that won two games last season. Now, after guiding the Colts back to the playoffs, and breaking Cam Newton's single-season passing record for a first-year player, it's safe to say Luck exceeded just about...

With a primetime thrashing of the 49ers the Seattle Seahawks have served notice to the NFC playoff field

As a football fan base we have a tendency to overreact to the outcome of primetime games - with that said, Seattle’s statement victory over San Francisco should be viewed as a very significant development heading into the post-season.  Seattle remains undefeated at home and they are currently riding a four game win streak into their season finale. The three most recent games...

Cowboys know playoffs-or-bust drill in NFC East

The Dallas Cowboys should know this drill by now. The only thing left is figuring out how to win a playoffs-or-bust game at an NFC East rival in the final game of the season. The Cowboys flopped badly in Philadelphia in 2008, and were better but still not very good last season at the New York Giants. Dallas gets another chance Sunday night at Washington against Robert Griffin...

Colts, Bengals make playoffs with wins

One year after putting together the NFL's worst record, the Indianapolis Colts are headed to the playoffs. Joining them on Sunday were the Cincinnati Bengals, finishing out the field in the AFC. San Francisco 49ers vs. Seahawks Week 16 game balls & stats

We’re In! This team just continues to impress me. Now sitting at #2 all time in a three game scoring spree at 150 points! I said it before, but who in the hell stole my Seahawks and replaced them with real football players? Arizona, and Buffalo are one thing, but San Francisco was the unanimous “best team” in the league last week, and we just destroyed them tonight. Defense...

Tempers flared and a shoving match broke out on Sunday Night Football

A good ol’ fashion shoving match broke out during the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks. Some may call it a brawl or a fight but one thing is for sure. These guys didn’t like each other. The fight occurred right before the Seahawks put up 42 points over the San Francisco 49er defense. Flags were thrown and linemen were getting into it with each other. Russell Wilson...
