Jason Campbell vs David Garrard In my opinion, the Jets will be and should be keeping Mark Sanchez as their #1 quarterback. Sanchez is a young QB who’s only played three years in the NFL and led the Jets to two AFC Championship appearances. Yes, he’s made some awful decisions during his tenure, but he’s also showed guts, leadership and flashes of brilliance. So putting aside the silly trade rumors about Peyton Manning and other starting QB’s, the Jets need to get serious about finding someone to back-up Mark Sanchez. Two viable options who are both free agents are ex-Raiders QB Jason Campbell and ex-Jaguars QB David Garrard. Here’s some more information below about both Jason Campbell and David Garrard’s situation. Jason Campbell: The Jets are apparently quite interested in pursuing Jason Campell, who played well for the Raiders during the first 6 games of the 2011 season until he broke his collarbone. Here’s some notes about Campbell, documenting the Jets interest, according t...

Although Rex Ryan insists he is sticking with Mark Sanchez, the Jets are reportedly interested in signing Jason Campbell as a backup quarterback. His presence could put pressure on Sanchez to perform.

WFAN’s Craig Carton Calls Out ESPN New York’s Jets Beat Writer Rich Cimini For Being A Fraud

Last time someone at WFAN was calling out an ESPN employee for being a fraud, our man Carl Banks was all over Michael Kay for backing out of an invitation to a Knick game. This time, WFAN morning show host Craig Carton, caught ESPN New York’s Jets beat writer and big time douch Rich Cimini, stealing WFAN’s info/sources. Uh oh. A loyal Boomer and Carton listener, who goes by “Dave...

Mike Tannenbaum’s Career As New York Jets GM: Part 1, The Mangini Years

New York Jets General Manger Mike Tannenbaum deserves a large share of the credit for the New York Jets being a playoff team in 2006, 2009 and 2010. He also deserves a large share of the credit for the Jets missing the playoffs in 2007, 2008, and 2011. Since taking over as GM, the Jets have been a .500 or better team in 5 of 6 seasons but have only made the playoffs half of the...

Just hours after learning that the Indianapolis Colts would part ways with QB Peyton Manning, a New York Jets player told the New York Daily News that Manning “needs to be a Jet.” Of course, this is not the first time Peyton Manning has been rumored to be linked to the New York Jets as a possible destination. If Peyton Manning is indeed healthy, there will be several...

According to...

Jets Interested In Eagles RB Ronnie Brown?

Rich Cimini of ESPN New York reports that New York Jets are interested in signing RB Ronnie Brown. GARTH: Rest Miller?

I'd give the Sabre an A+ grade for their recent 3-1-1 road trip. 7 outta 10 points is a nice haul for the team. The Jets presented the only spped bump for the Sabres on the final night of the trip. Running a "hard hockey" gauntlet against the Rangers, Ducks, Sharks, Canucks and Jets in six nights is enough to deplete any NHL squad. Its understandable that the...
