Tim Tebow is no doubt the most polarizing sports figure alive today. Maybe even all time. Who else inspires such love and hatred at the same time in the NFL? Or the NBA, MLB, or NHL for that matter?

The non-stop over coverage of Tebow these past couple weeks (It’s like Tyler Hansbrough coverage during the 2009 Final Four on steroids), led to “Tebowing” the dumbest trend in the history of humanity. But after his horrid play in a Denver Broncos blowout loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday, we’ve moved on to talking about his on-the-field issues again.

So has ESPN.com and it’s inspired some hilarious responses.

From Deadspin:

The #occupytebow comment feed over on ESPN’s now-regrettable post, “Time for Elway to think post-Tebow,” is still going after three days. If anything, it’s only gotten more spirited.

DS went ahead and captured some of the best. Some of the funniest “things that are greater than Tim Tebow” to me are:

“Wake Forest athletics, aborted fetuses, putting on wet socks, Washington Generals, Bank of America, Ron Mexico, Joe Buck Live, Steve McNair’s taste in women, Bush’s spending $7 trillion on wars based on lies, Filet-o-fish, Evolution, Ryan Leaf

TOO FUNNY! So many candidates here for the Anti-bracket come March. Basically, I applaud Tebow for believing in himself and all the hard work he’s doing to try and make it. However, I just can’t stand this idea that he’s entitled to be a star simply because God/Jesus/onward Christian Soldiers type people want him to be. No one’s entitled to anything, certainly not NFL stardom, simply because they have devout faith.

Sometimes you just hit your ceiling in life; despite how persistent and noble your efforts may be. It’s great that you keep trying, but God does not ordain starting NFL QBs- deal with this basic truth!
