The Carolina Panthers DE Greg Hardy promised "payback" and "punishment" for the Atlanta Falcons last week, and that's eactly what they did. The Falcons beat them in a 30-28 come-from-behind victory that had the Panthers feeling "disrespected." Hardy remembers all too well seeing Falcons QB Matt Ryan cursing at the Panthers sideline after that game telling them to get off their field. With the early season loss to Atlanta as energizing point, they came out ready to play. Cam Newton threw for 287 yards and two TDs, also scoring on the ground with a huge 72-yard run. In all, Newton had a career-high 116 yards rushing. The 4-9 Panthers weren't playing for anything, but that's when a team with talent can be dangerous. The Panthers defense came to play, holding Atlanta scoreless thru 2 1/2 quarters, while the offense racked up 23 points. Matt Ryan threw for 342 yards and two TD, but had a costly 4th-quarter INT. Carolina won despite having four starters out and 13 players on injured reserve. var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});

Greg Hardy to Falcons: ‘Get the f*ck off our field’

Newton, Panthers heating up a little too late

Quarterback Cam Newton and the Panthers offense are finally in a groove. Too bad for Carolina it's a case of too little, too late. At 4-9, Carolina's playoff aspirations evaporated several weeks ago, but Newton's vastly improved play in recent weeks gives promise that his stellar rookie season with the Panthers in 2011 was far from a fluke. After a rough start this...

Panthers LB after win: 'Get the **** off our field!'

A couple weeks back in Week 4 when Matt Ryan told the Carolina Panthers to "get the **** off of his field," Pathers defensive end Greg Hardy took notice.  Yesterday the Panthers gave the Falcons a little pay back and beat them 30-20 on their home turf.  Greg Hardy thought it would be a perfect chance to tell them to "get the **** off the field."   Nothing...

Panthers QB Cam Newton shows off his strength and athletic ability in this escape

This is the kind of athletic ability and type of play that Carolina Panthers fans were expecting to see for the whole year.  Unfortunately for them, a sophomore slump has held superstar quarterback Cam Newton back this year, and it has resulted in the Panthers struggling to a disappointing 3-9 record.

Greg Hardy told Falcons to get the f— off the field; Matt Bryant put him in place

Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy was more than happy to return Matt Ryan’s trash talking words following Carolina’s 30-20 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. You may recall that after Atlanta’s comeback win over Carolina in Week 4, Ryan barked at the Panthers players “get the f— off our field!” The Panthers called Ryan’s behavior “disrespectful” last week...

Sunday Wrap Up

Broncos def. Raiders: The Broncos just never seem to be able to completely blow away a crappy opponent. The Raiders are awful, I expected much more out of Manning. Panthers def. Falcons: The Falcons have quickly become very mediocre as 11 win teams go. I know Cam Newton has really heated up at the end of the season, but this defense can't allow a quarterback to pick them...
