Former Louisville running back Bilal Powell had the best performance of his young career on Sunday afternoon as the New York Jets defeated the St. Louis Rams 27-13.
Powell scored his first two career touchdowns on Sunday. He had 11 carries for 46 yards and 2 receptions for 18 yards. The Jets are just 4-6 this season, but Powell has made a significant jump from his rookie season. In year two of this NFL career, Powell is averaging 3.9 yards per carry. He missed last week’s game for the Jets due to a concussion
“It was a great feeling to celebrate with the guys because of the hard work we put in,” Powell told the media following Sunday’s win.
