Bill Belichick has seen a quite a few winners, so when he calls Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson a “winner,” he means it. The Patriots play the Seahawks on Sunday and Wilson is the Patriots newest concern. Belichick spoke to WEEI in Boston with the Big Show about the rookie quarterback. Belichick has a history of getting the best of young quarterbacks with confusing game plans, and will try to add Wilson on his resume. “A winner (Russell Wilson). He makes good decisions, he’s very athletic, they do a great job running the ball and they have a play action game that goes with it, play action bootlegs, moving pocket plays and things like that. He can hurt you with his arms and his legs.” “I think there are a lot of differences in the college game and the pro game. I think what players see at this level and see at the college level are quite a bit different. (Host: Is this just a good lot of players?) I don’t know, maybe it is but I don’t think it’s because they see the same thing at the college level and then they step to the pro level and there’s not a big learning curve. I think there is a big learning curve. But those guys who have been successful have obviously been able to make that transition so I think you have to give them a lot of credit. I don’t see that big of a carry-over from college to the NFL at that position.”
