Bill Parcells, who will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Aug. 3, has one haunting memory from his coaching career: leaving the New England Patriots and the way he handled things with owner Robert Kraft after the 1996 season.

  • Remembering back to the Tuna's exit, I was totally pissed at the way he exited and why he didn't return with the team after the Super Bowl loss was disgraceful, never mind his couching decisions made at the Super Bowl.....Bad memories brought back by this article !

Bill Parcells regrets leaving the Patriots

"I regret leaving New England. Had we done things differently ... " Parcells told USA TODAY Sports. "I had a good young team there. I hated to leave that team, because I knew what we could do. I was absolutely too headstrong. And (owner Robert Kraft) might have been a little headstrong, too. I think both Kraft and myself, retrospectively, would have done things a little...

Bill Parcells admits he regrets leaving Patriots too soon

Bill Parcells isn't the kind of man to admit many (if any) regrets publicly. The former New England Patriots coach may wear his New Jersey roots on his sleeve but not so his personal feelings. That's why it was uncharacteristic for Big Tuna to admit that he left the Patriots after their forgettable Super Bowl XXXI loss after a power struggle with owner Robert Kraft and could...

Tom Brady is Really Missing Wes Welker Right About Now

Tom Brady has every reason to be a happy guy. He's got a beautiful wife, awesome kids, more money than his kids will know what to do with. The man doesn't have a reason in the world to be angry--but I bet he is. Why? Because he can see that this coming season could very well be the most challenging one of his career now that his buddy Wes Welker is gone. And at his age...

AFC East is Now Up For Grabs--Almost

The day that fans of the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, and Miami Dolphins have been dying for is finally here--the New England Patriots are vulnerable. No longer is the AFC East Bill Belichick's own private kingdom to do with as he wills. It's a wide open race--or at least it would be if the Jets and Bills had improved any over the years. But the Dolphins though... ...

Potential TE Options For The Patriots

The Patriots have arguably the best tight end tandem in the league, but with Aaron Hernandez being a part of a murder investigation and the fact that Rob Gronkowski is coming off of multiple surgeries this offseason, the team is facing some major question marks at the position. Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston tossed out a couple of names on Sunday for the Patriots to consider if feel that...

@TonySantorsa Will the Patriots experiment with Tim Tebow at H-Back or Tight End? — kevin kelley (@burleykev) June 26, 2013 I’m sure you already know, but Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots are very tight-lipped when it comes to just about anything.  However, I do not see Tim Tebow playing any position other than quarterback.  Why? Because he’s a quarterback. He’s...
