According to Adam Schein of, on Sirius XM NFL Radio, former Indianapolis Colts general manager Bill Polian said that New York Giants general manager Jerry Reese is one of the best in the NFL.

“Jerry Reese is one of the best, if not the best general managers in the NFL,” said Polian

The Giants were one of four teams that Polian would chart the moves of, when it came to drafting players.  The other teams were the Patriots, Steelers and Packers.

I really don’t think Giants fans appreciate Reese.  Last offseason they were mad because the Giants didn’t do much in free agency and then they go on and win the Super Bowl.

Now, this offseason the Giants have once again been quiet on the free agent front.  But what people are forgetting is that the best teams in the NFL build through the draft and that’s what Reese has done over the past five year’s he’s been in charge.

With the loss of both Brandon Jacobs and Mario Manningham, you can bet that Reese will have a plan to move on with younger players that will be ready to come in and replace them.

Pagano: Freeney Will be Used Like Suggs

In transitioning to a 3-4 defense, the Colts face multiple problems involving their personnel. One of the biggest transitions will be the roles of quarterback terrorizers Robert Mathis and Dwight Freeney. We know they will be moved to outside linebacker, but beyond that, this is unknown territory for the two. They've been hand-on-the-ground DE's for their entire career, with...

Irsay hints about Colts taking Luck

It's seemed like a foregone conclusion that the Colts will take Andrew Luck with the first overall pick. Jim Irsay continues to hint that will be the case.

Bill Polian: Jerry Reese is one of the best GM’s in the NFL

According to Adam Schein of, on Sirius XM NFL Radio, former Indianapolis Colts general manager Bill Polian said that New York Giants general manager Jerry Reese is one of the best in the NFL. “Jerry Reese is one of the best, if not the best general managers in the NFL,” said Polian The Giants were one of four teams that Polian would chart the moves of, when it came...

Winning: A Book Review

Gary Brackett's story is well known around Indianapolis, but the story you know is only part of an incredible journey from the streets of the projects to football fields of the NFL. I recently spoke with Gary about his book, and after reading it, felt it was imperative to share my thoughts. The book itself is breezy, yet powerful. It is written very much in Brackett'...

Fairly frequently someone asks why the Colts would release Dallas Clark when he may have good years left. It's an easy answer and luckily Nate Dunlevy has already covered that ground: One of the biggest surprises to fans this offseason is the fact that Dallas Clark is still without work. Many have wondered why he hasn't been picked up by anyone. There have been rumors from...

Jim Irsay ready to make a bid for another Super Bowl

The city of Indianapolis did a great job with hosting Super Bowl XLVI this past season and Colts owner Jim Irsay has indicated that he’s ready to put in another bid for a future one as well. We will most likely make another bid 4 the SupBowl in Indy at latter part of the was one of the best host/city performances ever — Jim Irsay (@JimIrsay) April 10, 2012 Irsay and...

New York Giants: Inside The Draft War Room

With the 2012 NFL Draft less than 2 weeks away, there’s been rumbling going on inside the New York Giants' Draft War Room on who’d  they’ll select.  Based on information from within the Giants' camp, the G-Men are targeting the best player available with their pick in the 1stround. Many resources I have spoken to suggest that the Giants could select a DE or perhaps...

He's just a rookie

Jim Irsay essentially said the Colts are taking Andrew Luck with the first pick of the 2012 NFL draft. Paul Kuharsky and Trent Dilfer agree that despite high expectations we all need to temper our hopes: I think that final plea is an important one, and one we’ll probably need to circle back to over and over. Even if Luck is more prepared than Troy Aikman and Peyton Manning were...

Hog Heaven endorses Giants receiver Victor Cruz for Madden '13 cover. Help us out.

Round three of the Madden 2013 fan vote is open until April 11. Victor Cruz is the only NFC East player still alive in the election. Hog Heaven endorses Cruz in this election and calls on all loyal Washington Redskins fans to vote for him in his campaign against 49ers LB Patrick Willis. Cruz is a wide receiver for the rival New York Giants, co-owned by John Mara, chairman of the...

Sad Redskins Fans Already Getting RG3 License Plates

C’mon, Jim Irsay! Pull the trigger on the biggest flip-flop in NFL Draft history by taking Robert Griffin III instead of Andrew Luck. Ruin the license plates that are starting to show up in and around Washington D.C. proclaiming the love for the likely new Redskins QB. Dan Steinberg at D.C. Sports Bog writes that one fan even has Luck plates on reserve just in case Irsay goes...

RGIII versus Luck will go down in 2012

One way or the other, Robert Griffin III and Andrew Luck will either be the new quarterbacks of the Washington Redskins or the Indianapolis Colts and they will be playing each other this season. Both ownerships and front offices of both teams have said that they will be intent with either one. The good thing

NFL Draft: Bill Polian Says Trent Richardson is “Sure Thing”

With the first two selections in the 2012 NFL Draft essentially spoken for with regard to Stanford’s Andrew Luck and Baylor’s Robert Griffin III, former Indianapolis Colts vice chairman Bill Polian feels that Alabama’s Trent Richardson is the only other “sure thing.” Speaking on Sirius XM’s NFL Blitz, Polian says that there are three “sure thing players,” and the...
