Knowing how quickly things can turn in contract negotiations with your own free agents the Bills have their contingency plans. With free agents on the offensive side of the ball at #1 WR, #1 TE and starting left tackle Buffalo’s front office knows they need to be ready for anything and everything. “You have talks. Buddy and I have talks on a regular basis about, what if this happens? Where do we think we are? What direction are we going in? You have to stay on top of those because it changes,” head coach Chan Gailey told Buffalobills.com. ”What guys want, what they demand, what we can do. All of that is very fluid at this point in time. What you’re trying to do is keep an open mind and not get locked in to saying, ‘We have to do it this way.’” With negotiations with the Stevie Johnson camp set to resume this week in Indianapolis, Gailey is hopeful that contingency plans don’t have to be undertaken at the wide receiver position.

Chan rocks 'Fitz look'

Bills coach Chan Gailey has added a well-trimmed beard since the end of the season. In terms of size, it's no match for the one quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has grown the past two regular seasons. College teammates not a factor

There’s a common thought among outside observers that an NFL club might lean toward taking a prospect that had on field chemistry with a player already on their roster from their college days together at the same school. As far as the Bills are concerned it’s not much of a factor in draft decisions. Some Bills fans have proposed that because Marcell Dareus and DL/OLB Courtney...

Picking 10th not as easy

Last year Buffalo picked third overall in the draft giving Buddy Nix and company the sure fire knowledge that they were going to get one of the top three prospects in the draft class. That won’t be the case this time around. The Bills pick 10th overall in April and that makes knowing whether the two or three prospects they’ve got targeted will still be on the board at that time...
